DATA CENTRE MANAGER — Apply for this position

Main duties will be around managing the physical Data Centre space and managing the day-to-day running of the Data Centres from a capacity, security and operational perspective. Must be proactive in capacity planning of the critical systems and as such must have strong critical Mechanical & Electrical Knowledge for Data Centres and IT Equipment Rooms (Generators, Static and rotary UPS, CRAC units, Chillers, BMS, Fire Detection and Protection). Must be familiar with Resilience of Data Centres and IT Equipment Rooms and energy efficiency techniques for Data Centre and IT Equipment Rooms.

Should have experience with Data Centre Design and specification as well as delivering Data Centre Fit-outs, upgrades and installations and Project Management of Data Centre suite Fit-outs from ‘Shell and Core’ status. Also looking for exposure to Quality Assurance of all Installations and maintenance carried out by external Contractors and managing the Facility Management Contractors as well as the security of the Data Centre. Experience of Data Centre software, such as Aperture would add value.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • University degree in computer science or related field
  • 10+ years in IT services or related organisation
  • Demonstrated success in the conceptualisation, development and management of
  • complex Data Centre projects in service provider and/or enterprise space
  • Proven management of Data Centres exceeding 2000 sq.m. meeting Tier-III and above specification

  • Expert understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including DRUPS, static-UPS and water-cooling technologies

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT — Apply for this position

As the Executive Assistant to senior Executives your responsibilities may include screening calls, making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports and financial data, training and supervising other support staff, and customer relations. You will need strong computer and internet research skills. This role also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • A high school graduate with excellent command of written and spoken English (Arabic may be an advantage)
  • Computer literate in MS Office applications and have a fast typing speed
  • Highly experienced (at least 8 years) in similar positions, with at least 4 years reporting directly to senior managers.
L3 NETWORK ENGINEER — Apply for this position

MEEZA is currently looking for a hands-on Level 3 Network Engineer. This is a dynamic role that will require you to deliver client solutions, conduct proactive network monitoring, resolve Incidents passed to you be the Service Desk, act as a point of escalation for L2 Engineers, and create, document and implement procedures related to solution builds. This is a client facing role and you will need to deliver service excellence on behalf of MEEZA.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • CCIE qualified
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • L3VPN MPLS 1 or more years hands on experience
  • 5+ years practical hands on network experience
  • Network Security (Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint)
  • Operational experience in managing/maintaining complex network solutions within a Managed Services environment.
PROCUREMENT MANAGER — Apply for this position

A newly created position exists for an experienced Procurement Manager. Initially this hands-on role will work independently, developing policies and procedures to later build a department, as well as being directly responsible for key procurement projects to support the growth and delivery of MEEZA’s business. You will plan and lead complex negotiations with third party suppliers including service level agreements, and control of key contract review meetings.

As a world class IT products Procurement Manager you will bring global best practice to the organisation to achieve procurement excellence, you will lead change management programmes and provide leadership to our managers to effect continuous business improvement, and achieve best value for the company.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • University degree, College Diploma or suitable relevant experience
  • 5+ years in Procurement, particularly IT focused
  • 5+ years in a complex IT Services & Solutions environment
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply qualified-MCIPS (advantageous, but not essential)
  • Proven ability to thrive in a highly multi-cultural environment
  • Proven track record in implementing cost reduction strategies across a broad range of categories

DIRECTOR, SERVICE DELIVERY — Apply for this position

The Director, Service Delivery is primarily responsible for the technical resources within Operations. The number of employees in this department is likely to grow significantly over the years. This is a key leadership role and you will spend a significant amount of time interfacing with people in the business at all levels, plus working closely with our customers and partners. You will be responsible for overseeing the complex processes that are required to deliver Managed IT Services for many diverse customer solutions. In addition to managing MEEZA teams, you will also have responsibility for elements of the service that are subcontracted to our partners. As The Director, Service Delivery you will have overall responsibility for the architecture of our Service Delivery platform, plus construction and day-to-day management of MEEZA’s technical facilities.

As well as delivering day-to-day service, you will offer strategic advisory services to our customers and actively work to develop customer relationships. You will also have full accountability for the operational budget of the team and will take full responsibility for business planning and business results in this department.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • University degree in computer science or related field
  • 12+ years in IT services or related organisation
  • 5+ years management experience leading multiple technical teams
  • 2+ years operational experience managing complex team environments in a Managed Service / Service Provider space (> 50 people)

SENIOR MANAGER, INFRASTRUCTURE — Apply for this position

As the Senior Manager, Infrastructure, you will provide a utility computing service based on virtualised infrastructure (virtual network, virtual servers, virtual storage) to the rest of the business. The ultimate goal of this position is to provide Cloud Infrastructure capability.

You will be responsible for managing the infrastructure delivery teams containing engineers and architects with skills in: SAN Storage, VM Ware, Backups and Linux/Unix.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • Experience in a similar role providing a broad range of infrastructure services
  • Strong background in LAN/WAN networks
  • Proven management experience leading infrastructure teams of 20+ people

PLATFORM ARCHITECT- VIRTUALISATION AND VMWARE — Apply for this position

The primary responsibility of the Platform Architect- Virtualisation and VMware is to develop, define and maintain the technology standards for their specific discipline. You will need to use your advanced knowledge and technical expertise, coupled with dedication to customer service, to deliver service excellence to MEEZA clients.

Our customers and the market will drive the primary duties of the Platform Architect. You should seek out new ways to improve the customer’s service experience throughout their functional area(s) including technical and service management disciplines (process). As the Platform Architect, you will be responsible for the technical and process standards for your respective discipline and working with other Platform Architects to ensure the MEEZA infrastructure operates in unison.

Lastly, the Platform Architect is the highest level of technical and operational escalation. As a result, members of the Platform group must have excellent troubleshooting skills as well as thorough knowledge of all MEEZA’s products, services, and Service Management processes.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • Post-secondary education in IT or related field
  • Proven track record with a minimum of 10 years software engineering and/or solution architect experience in a consultative role in a Service Provider/Customer environment with experience at the enterprise level.
  • Experience architecting and building solutions leveraging cloud computing service providers
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware ESX etc.
  • Strong network and security architecture experience.
  • Full lifecycle experience with cloud migration, data canters migration, or server consolidation projects.
  • Strong development experience to support product integration requirements.
  • Operational experience in managing/maintaining complex technology environments

DATABASE ENGINEER — Apply for this position

This role will be an interesting and challenging Engineer role; if you are successful you must be able to provide strategic guidance for implementation and support of Microsoft SQL 2008 databases. You will also need to deliver client solutions and provide assistance in the resolution of client incidents.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • MCITP/MCDBA backed up with 5 years practical hands on experience
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • In-depth trouble shooting and problem analysis skills
  • Oracle and PostgresSQL is desirable but not essential
  • ITIL v3 foundation
CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER — Apply for this position

As the Client Services Manager, you are responsible for the successful on-going, day-to-day service management of clients, ensuring relationship excellence and compliance to the agreed solution specifications. Main responsibilities will be: actively participating in new solution design for existing clients; producing service reports; conducting service reviews; managing the service budget for each client set in their cost model; developing growth opportunities within each client account; participating in major incidents and being the clients main communications contact; acting as a stakeholder in the transition phase of new services; participating in internal service improvement initiatives; identifying, implementing and managing client service improvement initiatives; management of internal and external supplier relationships.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • University degree computer/technology and/or business administration related field OR substantial career experience with demonstrable success
  • Ideally 10+ years in technology services organisation, preferably external service provider
  • Ideally 5+ years as service delivery/client manager in Data Centre, IT Services and/or BPO organisation
  • ITIL practitioner certification required (Manager certification preferred)
  • Project Management certification (Prince2 preferred)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technologies including Dada Centres, WAN/MAN/LAN networks, server technologies, applications and enterprise management systems

PLATFORM ENGINEER — ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS — Apply for this position

The primary responsibility of the Platform Engineer EMS is to develop, define and maintain the technology standards for Enterprise Management Systems specific discipline. In this role you will use your advanced knowledge and technical expertise, coupled with your dedication to customer service, to deliver service excellence to MEEZA and its clients.

You will also be responsible for the day to day installation, administration, and management of the Enterprise Management Systems

As Platform Engineer EMS, you should seek out new ways to improve the customer’s service experience throughout their functional area(s) including technical and service management disciplines (process).

In addition, a major responsibility for the Platform Engineer EMS is to drive and manage the Enterprise Management Systems implementation (HP BTO software) that is in progress.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • Post-secondary education in IT or related field with 10+ years in IT services or related service-based organisation
  • 5+ years in a role of technical and/or process ownership
  • Expert ability in the design, architecture, engineering and maintaining of Enterprise Management Systems environments (HP Openview, Opsware, Service Manager 7, etc)
  • Certifications in HP BTO software highly desirable
  • Advanced understanding of enterprise data centre (Tier-III and Tier-IV) technologies and practises
  • Advanced understanding of network, security and storage architectures
LEGAL ADVISOR — Apply for this position

The Legal Advisor is responsible for providing legal advice on in-house company matters to all departments. Reporting to the Head of Legal Affairs, you will draft and review commercial contracts to protect MEEZA’s best interests.

Key knowledge, skills and experience required to be successful in this position are:

  • Law degree
  • Excellent understanding of Qatari Commercial Law
  • Experience in drafting IT/technical contracts
  • You must be able to read, write and speak English and Arabic fluently
