James Fanella
Acting Chief Executive Officer
As Acting CEO, Jim Fanella is leading the MEEZA team to drive growth and deliver on the strategic objectives of the company. Jim brings over 25 years of experience in the high tech industry with proven success in leading direct sales, channel management, professional services and marketing.
Grahame is a key figure in the success of Vodafone's worldwide operations.
As CEO of Vodafone Qatar, Grahame wants to continue with his goal of "making the world a better place by helping people achieve their personal best" and changing the way businesses are run globally.
Dr. Jaouad brings 15 years of experience from industries including IT, petroleum, digital media, automotive, aerospace, biosciences and manufacturing.
Before joining MEEZA, and after his research and teaching in France, Dr. Jaouad held various senior positions in companies like Renault and IBM; focusing on innovation, strategy and technology advisory. He lead & delivered cutting-edge projects in distributed computing, grid technology and simulation — designing and engineering solutions centred around ubiquitous computing.
Mr. Ahmed Mekky is a Board Member and CEO of Gulf Bridge International (GBI), a company dedicated to connecting all the nations of the Gulf to one another and to the rest of the world East and West, using the latest fiber optic technologies.
Hamad Ali Al Mannai is currently the CEO of Knowledge Ventures and serves on the board of Gulf Bridge International. Previously, Mr. Al Mannai was the Deputy CEO of MEEZA and also served in the Qatari National ICT regulatory body, The Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology, as a policy and economics manager. Mr Al Mannai started his career as telecoms project manager in the Ministry of Interiors.
Nathanial Fields is Managing Director of Program Operations of Silatech, a large scale youth employment initiative of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned. This initiative has been created to promote large-scale job creation, entrepreneurship, and access to capital and markets for young people across the Middle East and North Africa.
Charles Nagy currently holds the position of Silatech’s Chief Technology Officer and brings over 20 years of experience in working in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). At Silatech, Charles is heading up the development and deployment of Silatech’s Invitational Technology Platform.
General Manager and Director for Cisco in the Gulf Region
Tarek joined Cisco in 2004 and is responsible for Cisco strategic direction, investment and overall execution in the Gulf. Tarek has more than 17 years of ICT experience in the Middle East, US and India. Prior to joining Cisco, Tarek had a career with Schlumberger building startups in Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, India and the UAE.
As a specialist in ITIL Service Management best practice, John has over 15 years experience in managing client and end-user contact and support. Having worked extensively in the Middle East region, John is heading up the development of MEEZA’s ‘best in class’, cutting edge Contact Centre by exploiting new and exciting technology and process. As a subject matter expert, John developed the MEEZA Service Management Framework and holds comprehensive accreditations in international best practice standards and frameworks.
